I enjoy working with doctors, nurses and allied healthcare professionals to find out what they want to say to their patients.

I quickly adopt charity house styles to make sure important health and support messages reach their audience in the right way.

I work from home, using my own kit (iMac, PC laptop, OneDrive cloud storage).

I’m experienced at:

  • adapting to different apps, programmes and content management systems
  • liaising with graphic designers, web designers, photographers, journalists, marketers, PR, and print teams.

How I charge

I offer preferential rates for NHS trusts and UK registered charities.

Rates on application.

I can charge by the hour or by a day rate (with a day being 7 hours).

I accept payment by bank transfer within 30 days of invoice. I understand the nature of payment by NHS Trusts and the need to gain approved supplier status, where necessary.

My rates are based on those advised by the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading. They depend on the level of proof-editing, copy editing or consultancy required.

I may charge more for ‘best endeavours’ work. This could be a project that needs to be completed to a tight deadline, requiring work outside normal hours, and involving multiple stakeholders and changes.

I confirm what I can do, when and for how much. This also confirms how the work will be delivered and how many revisions (checks and changes) can be made.

When you accept the quote or agree a rate and hours, it serves as a contract between us.
